ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Who We Are

This project draws on Becky Willhite’s (COML alumna ’22) capstone Better Future: Communication and Leadership Lessons of Dis/ability Rights Activists and Advocates. In her capstone, Willhite uses a collaborative leadership framework to show how dis/ability rights activists use their lived experiences to create more inclusive and barrier-free spaces. Collaborative leadership is an approach to social change that brings stakeholders together for mutual shared goals. Each podcast is a case study of a dis/ability rights activist and the implications for making educational spaces more inclusive.
